*SOLD OUT* >150mW mini red lasers for $63

Re: >150mW mini red lasers for $63

It looks like something broke during shipping as I test every laser before I ship. I will send you a replacement or a refund whichever you choose.

A replacement would be great. I opened the head and put a multimeter to test voltage, it sits at 2.9v and then slowly goes down to 2.3v after about 10seconds. Did you leave the back off and the battery out? When I opened it, the back was off and the battery was loose in the package.

Re: >150mW mini red lasers for $63

Alright I am off to the post office to send out a replacement.

Thanks, you're awesome!!! I should be at the post office on Monday to send it mine back to you via USPS priority with tracking. Or should I wait for the replacement?

Re: >150mW mini red lasers for $63

yobrasel, mabe youre unaware, SenKat has gotten a bad batch of diodes recently, which are only rated at 80mW CW, and are really overdriven at 180mA. 250mA is killing them. Kenom has also been having this problem, as his dorcies are dying out and he is replacing them.

you might want to discontinue this untill senkat sorts everything out

regards,

amk

Re: >150mW mini red lasers for $63

Thanks AMK, I am not putting any more of these together. Time for the DIY spirit of the hobby to shine. I have a senkat diode doing 300mW. This is 1 of a select few though that can handle this. I don't expect it to last to long so I use it sparingly.

Re: >150mW mini red lasers for $63

goldfinger: don't worry about sending anything my way. Find a BR diode, 47ohm resistor, capasitor, and make a 405nm pointer out of it. Or just keep it for parts.

Re: >150mW mini red lasers for $63

Don't hope mine has one of the 'bad' diodes in it.

I opened a topic in the multimedia section about the laser I bougt from yobresal.

Re: >150mW mini red lasers for $63

Ok, are you sure a 1.5v AA is ok? I am having the SAME problem!!!? As soon as I put the battery in and turned it on, the beam was about as bright as a 5mw pointer, but then after about 1/10th of a second later it was so dim i can hardly see it on the wall from 6inches away. :-/ Is there anything I can do? This is really really frustrating.

U got a bad diode. these things get like 3 mins of run time if your lucky, and then die at that current.

THE SELLER IS DISCONTINUING THESE LASERS UNTILL FURTHER NOTICE

Untill senkat gets this diode issue fixed, people like kenom and yobrasel are being hurt.

wait a bit, when senkat fixes eerything, replace the diodes with good senkat ones.

Wow, I am really sorry to see your laser not working. I would be very frustrated if I were you as well. I will refund your payment.
