Yeah if you think you can get it working again I will mail it out to you asap. That would be great! When/if you do get it back to normal you can go ahead and keep it. I owe you one. But yeah I am thinking it might be scratched as my attempts to clean it did nothing. Maybe you have a better method than I do. Probably as mine mostly involves a micro-fiber cloth.
I have enough Lenses.

My enjoyment comes from helping other.
For future reference Never use a micro-fiber cloth to attempt to clean a lens. It will only make it 10x worse.
THe best way i found to Clean G Lenses is with ISOPROPYL Alcohol and a Couple of Q-Tips. "Make sure th Q-tips are the Clean kind that have no Lotions or chemicals on them as that will just make it worse again"
Use atleast 91% ISOPROPYL Alcohol....
First clean the lens with a Q-tip that has been dipped in ISOPROPYL alcohol. Make sure the Q-Tip is not dripping wet but just enough on it so it appears wet.
After this Wait 5 seconds then Quickly use a Dry Q-tip and dry up the lens.
DO both sides and thats it.
I think a video is in do for you all.
I swear G lens are the only lenses that are cleanable. I tried many times to clean 3 element lenses but it just always makes it worse. Must be the cheap coating on them.
^^^I would not try the above unless you know what you are doing or you dont care if you ruin your lens. It works perfect for me because I know how to do it but some might not get it just right. So at your own Risk as they say.
I have been also looking for personal lens cleaning kits but i have not found anything yet.
