Well in 99% of cases they are acrylic. Only if you get real lucky they are glass.I believe the objective lens on the 303s are glass.
But yeah, I also heard alcohol erodes acrylic.

Again as you seem incapable of listening to me: THOSE POINTERS ARE NOT MANUFACTURED BY SANWU NEITHER ARE THE GOGGLES. If you want to experience the sanwu quality everyone is talking about, go buy their other lasers that are not the usual Chinese 303s. The only thing that sanwu does is that they LPM the 303s to ensure output at spec or more. Those(303 lasers) are not their basic products because they are not even products of sanwu they are just generic stuff, Go buy a pocket or a guardian and then talk about the quality of the lasers that sanwu offers... There is a sanwu rep on LPF named @Podo . Also, keep in mind the difference of time zones cause nothing revolves just around you, that's why he may not be replying to you.Sanwu promised to post replacements, to replace some of the 'bad' goods he sent me, but though I paid for fast shipping he now says it will take another 30 days to arrive (this is after 2 weeks of trying to get him to offer a solution), he also offered part refund, but now ignoring my messages when I am asking for the promised refund.... I am shocked that so many people here recommend Sanwu, I am very disappointed, and with such low service on his basic products, I will never use him for more expensive products...... very disappointing. He shouldn't be selling cheaper products if he does not want to offer good customer care for them.... Goggles he sold were not able to block a 5 MW laser, so not OD3 as advertised, items missing (no set of star heads) , items damaged (2 mods were deeply scratched, and blue laser had black hairline in the diode) , items incompatible (the USB rotating unit does not fit his green laser...). Does anyone here know him and can offer help?? I am still hoping he will resolve all issues, but so far very disappointed and WOULD NOT RECOMMEND SANWU Lasers. :-(
Yep, I see I apologize for being mean to you. Was having a really bad day, Anyways the thing I don't like about your messages is that the meanings shared conflict a lot, and also you are too quick to judge. Furthermore don't be so mad about the scratches on not even their products, Those can be fixed with a tiny bit of black paint and the 'hair' On the violet laser can be cleaned easily with 100% cotton q tips and distilled water. Although you seem to have a point here, Sanwu customer service usually puts customer satisfaction on top and makes it a point, For instance, I have a friend who has recently purchased the same 303s you have and in his case, they responded within 2 days and even offered him a good deal for a replacement for a mistake he made(cleaning lenses with isopropyl). Again as I told you in my msg above you should PM the sanwu rep here Podo.Gianakakis , again you seem to be incapable of being a friendly person. You are writing in a violent and unhelpful way. If you read my messages properly you would have seen I was refering to Sanwu Customer service and communication, I am aware what they sold me is not made by themselved directly as people said it a number of times. I also used to live in that part of the world, so I am aware of the time there, and always allow them plenty of time for to respond, but it has taken them weeks to resolve issues. I thought this forum will help with advice and support, and while some people here have been very helpful, I notice reading theough many threads, that there are many individuals here who spend time being hostile and accusative all the time to each other. Forget about lasers, learn to be a kind human being first! Good Luck!
Oh, so you ordered that one hmm, I am not sure but I think that that one IS made by sanwu, Ask podo/sanwu what type of lens it has because if it has glass lenses you can clean it with ethanol/vodka if its acrylic use distilled water. Keep this in mind: Ethanol/methanol/isoprop DESTROY acrylic lenses so don't use them to clean acrylic lenses also acrylic lenses are very easy to scratch so apply little pressure while cleaning. Thanks, I appreciate your apology. And yes, I admittingly judge too quick and should be more patient. They have now sent me a part refund and I hope the replacement lasers will arrive within a month or so. By the way I ordered a 150mW 445nm Blue laser, rather than violet, which is nearly 3 times the price of the violet, as I wanted a more 'visible laser'. I may have 'only' spent $200 on this order, still for me it's a lot of money so wanted all aspects of the order. Sanwu admitted the goggles he sold are worthless and also that his new batch of green lasers have a wrong size of thread that does not fit his USB rotating star cap head. Anyhow he is now making an effort to resolve the issues. And I painted over the scratches and purchased some eagle eye pairs and new charger, so will get there at the end. Thank you again for all the good advice.
