SHere are some pics I took in the snowstorm Nemo late Friday night at about midnight. I set up my lasers in my doorway looking into my backyard and went outside with my camera and used a makeshift tripod since we already had about 4 inches of snow and didn't want to use my Velbon tripod in the snow. I also brought out an umbrella to try to keep my camera dry. I only took a few pics befoe I realized this will not work because of the high winds, as there was no way to keep the lens (and camera) dry, So I moved back inside and made the most of it. Here are some of the pics. There is also one of my new 473nm 30mw of the beam. Later today I will be posting my usual Saturday night photoshoot and some really good pics (I think) of the 473 plus others.

Hey Zeebit, they are fan diffraction gratings. The second pic was a matrix diffraction grating. I got them from Dragonlasers. I think they are 12 dollars each
 
That is a teeny bit of snow lol, just got finished shoveling 30 inches of it, it wasn't fun :( I didn't take any pictures but when it was a blizzard I could see a beam with every one of my lasers but the 808nm.

I'm liking those clamps. They look like the same model in the first pic of three pointers. Where did you get them?
 
what is the name of the diffraction grating in the 1st and 3rd pic, thanks :drool:
 
I know but on the site they had several different types and I like the one that goes from right to left

Btw, Have you LPM'd the 473? im curious to know its exact power.

Dont be..we got 3.5 feet of it here on long island and its nothing but a pain..
2 of the largest roads that span across the island are closed because its so icy and so many cars where stuck in the snow...a 5 minute drive for me before took 45 minutes because of cars stuck EVERYWHERE.
My jeep w/ quadradrive had no problem though :}

anyway...my best snow pic is my avatar..red is 20mw, green and purple/violet is 50mw. obviously his is much, much better :p

I dunno, I think I could handle that a bit better than the $1300 power bills I get after 3 months from airconditioning :(
