Silicone Wire! Dirt Cheap!

If you look at the other lists, they have equipment to make wire at 26AWG. They obviously have the equipment to insulate wire with silicone. Mohrenberg has spoken with a representative and we have no good reason to think he's lying.

I was responding to bluuray that found the page...
and when I looked at it I was telling him I didn't see
the 26AWG wire listed...

now a second person who saw what somebody else was selling
and jumped on it...

FP had the ORIGINAL idea to sell a product not offered here prior. Senkat jumps on the idea
and offers it as well. Now moh jumps on the same idea again...

Being original is to have your own idea, go with it and hope no douchebaggery follows.

Its the same as selling a kit. Jayrob for instance finds a host nobody is using.
He then orders and makes his kits.

Along comes another member who sees it and says either A- I can also
make money on this seeing how they are selling well, or B- I can play hero
and sell it for less..

Either way weather its copying a host or product to resell, its a sh!ty thing
to do.

Moral of the story, come up with your own ideas and respect the work others put
into their products.

As far as hosts and selling them goes, building a copy is one thing if its for yourself,
but outright copying ideas is as lame as it gets.


If this were a GB with good intention, moh would be making the purchase through FP
seeing as this was his idea and first to offer the product.

In addition to speaking with him on the phone, I have also sent him a video to thoroughly explain what we're looking for in the wire as to be sure he understands what we want.
I know we haven't had a sample of this wire. I am taking 100% responsibility on this GB. I promise if things go awry, nobody here will lose any money but me.
In reality, it's just $560. I can cover it if need be.
Besides, if i understood the supplier correctly then i'll get to examine all the wire before we ever pay for it.

that above post belows where i said "undefined" apparently my phone sucks.

a group buy's intention is to group people together to get wholesale prices for retail items.
FP already stated he himself pays more than $0.14/ft, so if this wire turns out to be "good", then it would be foolish to buy it from FP for more.

I'm tired of playing the nice guy, or arguing business ethics. Anyone who feels that this group buy is wrong or immoral can simply buy the wire from FP for more.
The entire concept is to get it at the lowest possible price and that's what I aim to accomplish.
For all that preaching FP did on helping people and this hobby having nothing to do with money, he sure is changing his point of view rather quickly.

Unless i'm banned from LPF for some reason, I have no intention of changing my point of view or ending this group buy.

I must go for now. I've got to do medical stand-by at the raceway........helping the world never ends. I'l be checking in on my cell phone though

Thats pretty week. With that logic everyone would have to get their sleds from the original person who got the fist sled. Sled, and diode GBs are OK, but not wire? :thinking: I get you dont like this situation Joe, but lets not be silly. If someone can get a cheaper price, then thats it. Its always been that way, and this is no difference regardless of the intention.

Offering a Laser design vs Wire is Not the Same. Tons of people take the diodes out of "//" And sell them no ones crying about who's selling them? This isn't a build..... It's a Part. We can't start saying people can;t sell Single Parts because someone else does already and buys them for more $$. I do not see any problem other than...

I think stating How a product compares to another's when you don't have it and have not physically seen and test it, isn't good tho. So thats the only point I think FP Has.

My only thing is, what if I wanted to sell solder? You can get solder at radioshack, but I have the best solder available to us for this hobby. And I introduce you all to it, and start to sell it. Am I the only one that can ever sell solder on this website?

Try to look at it this way....
The first thing to consider is that this is a Community..
If one of your personal family members would sell the
same product as you and compete with you... wouldn't
you think that was kinda wrong...

I always thought that you don't cheat/screw family... But
if the times have changed an it's OK to do that...just like
on the open market.. I can easily live with that and even
use it to my advantage...
