I was over at a friends business and seen this Boule of Silicon sitting in with some scrap metal, so I picked it up
and asked if he knew any thing about it and he only knew it was silicon and offered it to me so I took him up on
it as I didn't have a specimen of silicone yet.

This is a mono crystal of silicon and this is only the bottom end of the crystal it's 3.75" tall and 3.75" wide at it's widest, on the bottom where it was cut from the rest of the crystal, it shatters like glass or flint but is softer.

This is a nice chunk Boule I check about them on you-tube and eBay and found out some very interesting information see here>

Silicon Pulled Single Crystal Test Boule Bottom 140219 003 | eBay

An ingot growing in an oven.

This one explains how the boule is made and then how semi conductor chips are made and how they function.

How chips are made pretty interesting.

Looks like a mini alien spaceship or the mountain from Close Encounters. I'm wondering how a laser beam would react to this.:thinking:
Can you do some test shots?

If this is a monocrystal of silicon and it contains a single isotope It is worth a lot of money.

*MarioMaster slaps Flaminpyro and Sinner for the use of silicone*

silicon = computer chips
silicone = implants

Nice sample of monocrystalline silicon :)

Looks as if the grammer Nazi needs to slap himself, or put his glasses on.:spank:

They already fixed it ;)

Got any plans for it? Or just gonna keep it as an element sample?
