i'm hoping this thing is the deal it seems to be. laser diode, driver, f/s mirror and 3 cylindrical lenses and polygon mirror/motor, all for $10. i bought one, i'm wondering if it's a red diode?

It'll probably be IR, but the Polygonal Mirror is used for Liquid sky effect. If shipping from them to Aus wasn't so bad I'd get one myself

If you want to power the motor here is the pin-out:

pin 1 = Vmotor (18V to 24V)
pin 2 = GND
pin 3 = Active low operation control (threshold = 1.4V). Possibly a PWM timing signal. Full speed is active low though (maybe it's too fast?)
pin 4 = ???

wow, thanks for anticipating my first question after it arrives!
even tho it has an ir diode, might the lenses help correct a 635 beam? that's what i hoped. i should have some fun playing with the poly mirror too.
