A couple of weeks ago Shakenawake sent me his newest Dreamcatcher to photograph it adding lasers and other light sources . It is painted in day glo paint so UV light is a must. This was so intense to photograph. So much intricate detail and craftsmanship! The closer up you get to it, the more detail you see. In the center of it was placed an uranium marble which in some shots I pointed a 405 into it to make it glow. Anyway I tried many different ways to photograph and some of them came out very well. I suspended it in a laser pyramid, used diffraction gratings, a laser projector, my glass spheres, etc. The hardest things on photographing it was to keep it still as many exposures were over 10 seconds, and to balance all the different light sources. There is one shot of it that is green and red. When the lights are off the Dreamcatcher glows very faintly. That shot is at 35 seconds of absolute stillness! Anyway enjoy the pics. Thanks again Shakenawake for the chance to photograph it.

WOW! I especially like the shots where the uranium glass marble is lit with the 405. Looks like a portal opening.........

Very nice presentation of Shakenawake's beautiful dreamcatcher, Bruce!
Looks like this was a very labor intensive photo shoot. A good job by both you and Shakenawake!

Wow, and I wasn't even on a hallucinogen. Those are some awesome color effects.

Thanks Wizard, Bowtie and Alaskan! It was really a lot of fun to photograph this. Every day after work for a week I would try a different lighting scheme using hand held lasers, a laser projector, UV light, my Hue lights, glass spheres, etc. By the end of the week I had taken over 300 photos of it. It is truly a fine piece of art that Shaken created.
