Yesterday I received my 200mW SFCR laser from Sci-Fi lasers, and so far I am thoroughly impressed with it.
First off, it shipped extremely fast from Israel to the U.S., just a couple of days, instead of months like my blue laser.
The first thing I saw when I opened the box was this complimentary power graph of my lasers peak and average power, which was 37mW overspec. So positive thoughts before even operating the laser. He takes it with a LaserBee 2.5W power meter so you know it's accurate.
Before I get into the laser itself, here's the simple specs:
- 650nm
- 200mW
- Power supply is one 18650 (3.7V) battery
For a red laser it is very bright. It has a nice beam at night, and I'm sure it would look incredible with smoke. I couldn't capture the beam on camera but I got this:
It burns just like advertised too. It easily lights matches and other things, for instance my phone...
Yes, I burned a smiley face on the back of my phone It doesn't take long, just focus it correctly and it should start smoking almost instantly.
For $40 I really couldn't imagine a better deal. What really sold me though was the customer service. Eitan's a great guy and answered all of my questions in a quick and friendly manner. I loved buying from him so much that I just purchased one of his first 405nm lasers. Check his lasers out, you won't regret it!
Sci-Fi-Lasers
Oh, and don't forget safety glasses! They are a must with this laser as it will blind you if you're not careful
All-in-all, I give Sci-Fil lasers 5/5 for everything. Just like he advertises on the website, "Best lasers, at the best price, with the best service."
