Setting a Driver Current with the Laser Diode Connected

Current in and out of any circuit or device will always be the same. The current (in amps) multiplied by the voltage drop (in volts) across the load = power consumed in watts. For our diodes we can calculate the total power input (V*I=W) and use that together with the measured output to calculate effeciency.
