Hello!👋

Trying to get rid of my old Spyder 3 Krypton that I bought as a dumb kid after watched Styropyro on YouTube.
Lost interest in it pretty quickly and has been sitting in a drawer until now.
I’m estimating total operating time to be only 1-3 hours, so it looks brand new.
Is there a chance anyone would be interested in it here?

Got the holster, original battery, charger, and glasses. Is 400$ a fair price?

Model number: KPN5323S
Serial: 69283
Power rating(label): 1500mw (edit: advertised as 750-1000mW)

Live in Norway, so I’m guessing shipping to the US might get complicated though, but open to suggestions.
Also, I have little reference other than some wild eBay prices (5000$wtf???) for what a fair price for this thing is, so feel free to suggest another price.

Have a nice day or evening😄

Good luck with your sale! Definitely a vintage piece
Thank you! Would you say the price is alright or too high?

All I had to base it on was a couple people who offered 100-300$ in Reddit dms, and those eBay litems for 500-5000$.

I saw a post (from 2017 I believe??) here from a guy selling a krypton with with lens addons for 1000$, but other users suggested this was way too optimistic.
Found this eBay listing from what I believe is the same guy with the same laser currently trying to sell it for 2000$. I thought that was a little funny.

Also, you wouldn’t happen to know if there is a way to determine the real power output/advertised power output without one of those messsuring devices i have seen here? I don’t have access to one of those, and I can’t find any info on Krypton’s being advertised with 1500mw, so I’m not sure if the label is correct.

I do remember spending a stupid amount of money on it for a kid and being grounded for it though, haha. Believe it it was in the 700-900$ range.

I would leave it right where it is personally. And no there is no way to tell without a meter unfortunately.

Thank you! I’ll correct the post.
A price of $400-$500 is a very fair price.

There is no need to correct anything because of a nonsense gibberish post by an attention whore troll banned dozens of times from LPF with dozens of different personas and nicknames, who doesn't know what he is talking about. Shadow Laser a demonstration of someone with the emotional maturity, impulse control, and mentality of a 3 to 6 years old child. Is like a baby that wants a new rattle every few minutes.

What WL has been selling for the last 5+years is a direct diode 520nm version of the "Krypton" and is 1000mW. The earlier Spyder III 532nm version is more valuable and was made with CNI supplied DPSS 532nm modules. The highest power version was expensive as you say and generally 750mW to 1000mW range with peaks slightly higher. No way to know what the output power of yours is without testing it with a Laser Power Meter.

The laser which was awarded Guinness recognition is not a Spyder III Krypton.
It was a 2006 532nm 300mW Spyder 1 which was the most powerful at the time. From WL themselves, they say: "January 2006 - Guinness World Record - 'Most powerful handheld laser in the world.' "The Spyder I had an output of 40mW in the 473nm blue ($3499) and 300mW in the 532nm green ($1999). Crafted out of heat-resistant brass, it was fully waterproof, with a continuous duty cycle. The Spyder I Series inadvertently invented a Guinness World Record category for 'Most powerful handheld laser in the world.' "
