Recently finished this build I call "The Scorcher" using an Cree MX900 host with custom made heatsink from Mrcrouse, diode module from DTR and 4 mode, 100%, 50%, 5%, and strobe constant current driver set at 2.4a. Has adjustable focus with G2 lens. Power source is 2x26650 or 18650 with adapter sleeves.
I should have a couple more ready in a few days. Here's a few pics though my camera is not very good..

Just added another a little different from The Scorcher, The Scorcher Jr. This one is in a bronze MX900 host with all the same components except it uses a different heatsink. It's duty cycle is 150 seconds and will be posting pics soon. This one is $225 and has shipping to US and Canada, paypal fees included.

I would like to get $235 for The Scorcher with shipping included for the US and Canada, overseas will be extra.
It is expected you are 18 or older, already own 1 or more lasers and understand how to and use the proper safety.
This is NOT a toy !!

This puppy has a 4 minute duty cycle and rock solid. The design also allows for easy access to the driver and diode and can be easily changed.
I will post the power readings as soon as my LaserBee 3.7w arrives.

I wanted to have a 3w laser with a good duty cycle that also supported more then just on and off. Now if I had a descent camera you would see just how polished the heatsink is and overall better appearance.

If only your country did not have such lame laws concerning lasers. I am not aware of any options that would guarantee you would actually get it. Would really stink paying for something and then have your government confiscate it.

Only thing I've heard of is basically breaking down the laser into sections and posting in say three parts, and sending separately but never done it yet but cant see why that wouldn't work

Or even just two parts with no mention of laser in description? Its really the the diode and driver lens that really count the power supply end you can deal with far easier to replace ...any one else please feel free with ideas

These are real nice units you have!! Everyone should have ONE 3w 445. ( or close to it) its just too damn cool!!


$275 for a 3.1w + 9mm in a unit that accepts 26650.

Does any 445 get any better for the price/power/presence..premade?

I'd say you made the RT 445 lasers better and still VErY cost effective!!!!
