Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope as collimator?

I always wanted a good telescope. the decent ones are $$$ though, which I rarely have.

sometimes the sky is amazing enough with just binoculars. Try looking at orion if you can't see the milky way

I live in light pollution central unfortunately. The city is to the south and I have a steel mill literally in my back yard to the north.

I drive an hour each way for dark skies... albeit too rarely... but if you never see a great moonless clear dark sky, then I feel sorry for ya, even just naked eye view! -GH
