Most of the payments I got are charged with fee but not this one. This payment was sent as gift. Looks like I am screwed. :yabbmad:
Even if it wasn't sent as gift could the fraud be prevented ? The scammer has prepared the case thoroughly.
If it was a gift you won't get anywhere with PayPal. Reason being, Massive amounts of people online were requesting people pay for goods via "gift" to avoid PayPal fees, Which in the end fucks over Paypal because people don't want to pay $2 in fees. So from now on make sure when people have sent you money it's sent via goods, If it's not refund the payment and tell them if they don't send via goods then you can't deal with them. PayPal will limit your account if they see you receiving heaps of gift payments from all the way around the world, and they'll lock your bank/credit card(if you have one attached to your account) for 12 months. I'm not even joking, This happened to me and I had $11k in my credit card and there was not a thing I could do. Hours and hours on the phone for weeks on end getting no where.
EDIT:
I did some digging for Blord, I think I've found something really useful to PayPal! OK, Here's what I went though. He gave me the email, Which is:
bancheebro@gmail.com A quick search on Google, Comes up with heaps of videos of him playing Modern Warfare 3 Games and selling stuff, BUT, Then I came across this link.
http://about.me/mw2
On this page it has: "Email:Bancheebro@gmail.com AIM:UJELLYOFJTAG"
Gives us his email which we already know and more of the Jtag alias he was using here on LPF to scam Blord. Then we read on....
"Hello i am a Host on Mw2. I am 18 years old and live in LA California. I have a Falcon JTAG and i host for this site "
What's this prove? That he in fact goes by the Alias Jtag which conveniently is the alias used to say that he was sending you money, which now proves it is in fact the user jtag's account. Meaning he intentionally sent the money. We just have to link it to his LPF account. Try showing them that and see what they say.
