Re: Professional Melles Griot Beam Expander 20X

Will be away for one week in about 6 hours.

If this hasn´t sold within the next 5 hours (I would also ship it within this time), people would have to wait till next week!

Any more questions? Feel free to ask.

Re: Professional Melles Griot Beam Expander 20X

I just worry about a few things that make me wonder if it would be a good decision for me personally.

1. The laser I want to use it with is my PGL-III-C 800mW 532nm....beam size and power seem unfitting for this unit, no?
2. Fitting it to the laser...

Re: Professional Melles Griot Beam Expander 20X

Unfitting for 532nm? Not really.

I tested it with my former RPL-500 532nm and results were pretty awesome.
Was able to light a match 50ft away for example.

The laser just has to have a good beam diameter, not >3.0mRad like most of these cheap high powered greenies have. Otherwise there is going to be a significant loss in power.

Ehgemus used to make mounts for a Melles Griot expander. Some of the other machinist on the forum should be able to do it as well.
