Its just too complicated for me.

I was looking at an EOS 400D for sale in our local s/h shop with the lens, in mint condition for a killer price, buts its just too complicated :/

Too complicated? What do you mean?

I have no to zero understanding of photography. 100% of the picture I take are taken by Automatic-Setting, or Programm-Automatic-Setting (just to change ISO).
So with no clue of the whole matter, you can still get some decent shots with the 2-digit model numbers (Advanced amateur) from Canon EOS .
