So who of you has been following the news around Rosetta & Philae today? (This morning for you Americans, this afternoon for Europeans)
ESA managed to put a lander they sent into space 10 years ago on a rubber-ducky-look-alike comet, despite malfunctioning thruster.
Was in the lab myself, but with 3 monitors I had one to spare for the live stream I know that many of my fellow students watched the stream too, just like some years ago with the start-up of the LHC. Science live streams are cool!
Anyhow, great achievement for science, looking forward to any cool results!
Also, xkcd 1446 has a nice flipbook story of the landing, is about 130 pictures but really worth your time!
