RKCSTR Micro-Drive V3 adjustable driver (assembled)

Also, just to note, those voltages are a minimum and dependent on the specific diode's operating voltage at your intended current. You should have a little bit of overage on the batteries so that it will maintain the current as they drain and decrease in voltage.

hey. im jus wondering what current is preset on the v3 driver. it could save me time and the life of my 150 mw bluray diode. because i have to connect it up to test the current bacause i dont plan buying a dummy load. so an ammeter across the + and - of the diode or the battery im not sure. please answer as much as possible. most appreciated

Wow, you dug up a 10 month old thread? My thread in the Laser Pro Shop would have worked, or you could PM me too.

Anyway, they don't come "preset" to anything specific. However, the factory setting is commonly around 70-90mA because of the pot is usually set around the half-turn position from the manufacturer.

ok thanx heaps.. now when i turn it on it wont decrease the diode life and ill have a chance to connect ip up to my ammeter. its across the diode terminals right . so you can determine how much current its pulling? most appreciated. thanx
