They are different wavelengths so I would assume they are different lenses, However those 2 models are using Acrylic lenses and not a glass lens.......is that what you meant?

Nope, I was curious if they had coatings or something along those lines...

I was contemplating putting a 405 nm or 445 nm into one of them but I wasn't sure, since the lens might not be suited.

Good luck separating the mid section pieces of the host, I don't know if they are loctite'd together, but it sure feels like it. I gave up trying.
