Review: 1.9A DTJRFX maglite laser gun

hello I am interested in your project, I now look for a toy gun store. "
you have to make modifications to the circuit?
thanks if you can answer me, from small child I always dreamed of laser guns, and I think shortly we will have laser guns for real.

I have obsession with lasers and lights

Welcome to LPF! First and foremost please learn and take laser safety into consideration before working or playing with any lasers at this power. This forum strongly supports and encourages using safety goggles and common sense precautions with the type of lasers generally discussed here and you absolutely need to know this before moving on with what you're intested in.

Having said that and to answer your question, yes the toy guns that shoot short pulses are from a circuit that I built. The maglite laser does not have a separate circuit for pulse firing though aside the soundboard mod I added at the bottom of the OP

ok,
First, if I have glasses
I have built, other laser and flashlight
but my level of electronics is low
've been wrong many times, and learn
burn three days ago my new diode 445
need, more photos, assembly the circuit pulse
thanks and hope not to disturb

Two words: Fucking baller!

That mod is so cool, are you eventually going to release the circuit plans for this pulsed laser gun mod or keep it a secret? :shhh:

:thanks: It's encouraging when other people are as stoked about something like this as I am today as well when the idea came about. ;)

As for sharing the circuit, it needs a few imperfections worked out first. Right now the design is underpushing the available current to the driver when the gun is fired. The result is a dim shot & the only workaround I've found so far is to overcompensate the voltage by adding extra, unnecessary batteries.

Lowering or removing a few resistors I'm using might also solve this issue, but I haven't gotten to it just yet because I'm about to put my house up for sale & preparing for this has taken a lot of my spare time away these past few weeks. Eventually I'll get it working perfect though, I was even thinking of making a dozen or so of the 'professionalized' prototype to put up for sale in a few months

Ah I see, I hope you come up with a solution. And as for the prototypes, keep me in the loop  If you're eventually going to have a few for sale it will be a guaranteed buy from me. I've been wanting to make something like this for myself but I don't have the skill :undecided:
