Maybe if neg reps can only set you to zero people won't take offense so badly?

NO but I got a pm that wanted me to acknowledge it before I could read it, what's the point of that? I answer most mine anyway.
It had a strange name with a bunch of Korean script, I doubt we could get a pm virus???

Yes I had something like that some weeks ago. Pm spam. It was no different from that usual stuff spammed on threads and visitor messages.

Nope, you won't get a virus that way. Just don't click on any links or attachments in the spam messages.
