red laser for noob

The top one in the pic below is 300 mW + built into a dead greenie. Even has a focus ring.

70mW is good, it burns, pops ballons, etc. even yew.sir.name bought one, ask him. certainly not a "main" or "best out of the rest" laser, but at $17 its a steal, and he isnt losing anything by buying one.
