I want to have an experience with C-mount, sir500 mw? At 650 nm? 700 mw to 1 watt 638 nm would be my choice.
Oclaro HL63193MG 638nm 700mW Orange Red Laser Diode 1 pcs | eBay
638 nm red appears near 2X brighter at the same power.
1000 mw each, same ratio.
See: Relative Laser Beam Brightness Calculator: (638nm 700mw) vs. (650nm 700mw)
yes-thank youI bought my near 1000 mw 638 nm Oclaro pointer already built, don't know what driver was used in it but I bet if you contact DTR he has a driver which will work:
Maybe another member can help with what they have used.
Edit: This page shows the driver he uses with that diode: https://sites.google.com/site/dtrlpf/home/diodes/oclaro-700mw-638nm-diodes
Some push to 1000 mw but is rated at 700. I've never had problems with mine at 940 mw out of the lens.
I wonder how much we can abuse this diode for higher than rated output? USHIO HL63283HD 638nm 1200W Organe-Red Laser Diode/Single Beam High Power Laser
If you want 500 mw of 650 on a C-mount, here's one with a price: 650nm 500mW C-MOUNT Laser Diode | eBay
650 is OK but 638 nm is very cherry! I'll never buy 650 if I can get as much or more power at 638 nm.
