symtax said:so if im a few feet away from my friend and hes shining the laser in the sky at night should i be able to see it? just a little dissapointed in what i ordered because i was expecting a solid beam at night but the burning part sounds good,
thanks, also mine wil be a 300ma, yours was a 200ma?
Yes, I am currently running it at 200mA. At 300mA yours should be about 50mW to 100mW brighter. So to answer your question, I don't know if someone a few feet away from you would be able to see the beam. I just know that with mine, it is barely visible. You need fog, smoke, lots of moisture, or just lots of dust in the air in order to see it well.
Don't be disapointed. I was at first, but I have grown to love it's burning capabilities.
For a good visible beam at night, a 15mW or more green laser works great.
