Ever learn

"Bad Boys Rape Our Young Girls But Violet Gives Willingly" for reading resistor colors?

This I learned in Vo-Tech in 10th grade and I still remember it somehow lol.

You?

Orange (3) is supposed to go between Red (2) and Yellow (4). Not sure where it is in your phrase :p

I never used phrases like that in school. I just built up a kit back then while looking back and forth from the color code chart and somehow memorized the codes after building the kit. Stuck in my head since then even after working with SMD nowadays.

Here's another one similar to MessiToms-

"Bad Boys Rape Our Young Girls But Virgins Go Without"

"Behind Victory Garden Walls" If you rember that version, youre officially 'a Geezer'.

Here's another one for the drinkers in the crowd -

"Bad Booze Rots Our Young Guts But Vodka Goes Well"

Sometimes "Beer" is substituted for "Booze".

I always remembered it the same way as your Messi.

I prefer SMD resistors though, much easier when the values are stamped right on :p

But it's much harder to find the value that you need when they're in one box one turned over another over another and over another. :p

mine's the other way around, must have been due to the years of working with axial resistors. Each to his own. ;)

I just keep my small SMD resistors separate, buy a whole bunch of those $1 boxes and throw a label on em :)

No need for flippin then.

True, I never mix mine I have them all in the little zip baggies and the value sharpied on.

I also have mine in drawers then further separated per value in tiny vials but the ones I already took out (from experimenting/adjusting values) are mixed in one container.
