Want to feed it with the best LiPo (according duration & power) and I´m also looking for a good charger for this battery.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Go to one of the R/C Forums and ask your
questions there. They will no doubt be better
equipped with that knowledge and experience...

Don't forget to read and research before asking
them...:D

I know quite a few people around here interested in RC stuff, and they´re becoming more more. This is why I decided to NOT open a new RC-forum-account just for this question and using the OTHER section here :na:

Is CARSON a known brand there in America?

I have never heard of CARSON

I own both of these chargers

Dynam Supermate DC6 DC Multi Function Balance Charger/Discharger 1-6 cell Lilo/LiPo/LiFe, 1 to 15 cells NiCd NiMH
Thunder T6 Multi-LiPo Battery Charger (4X 6-Cell) Professional Balance Charger/DisCharger w/ LCD Display

and they are both amazing. I would recommend both of them, pick one based on your budget. The charge LiPos, LiOns, LiFePo4s, NiMhs, NiCds, and Pbs.

The power supply on the page for the big charger is really nice too.

I have the same one to take out on the field to charge off
a Car's battery and another similar one that plugs into the
house AC.

I like the first car. The second truck has crappy suspension, its way to bouncy.

In my day you had to completely ensemble these. It was fun, and easy to tweak. Do these newer cars have oil filled shocks with multiple dampener disks to change how fast the oil travels? Also do they have different gear clusters to change torque, and RPM?

I ordered the second truck yesterday cause it´s a on/offroad-truck and it´s a way cheaper. I might change the damper if I´m happy with this truck, otherwise I´m gonna return the car.

Honestly, I don´t know :) For the start I just want something to have fun with the easy way.

For the battery, I need a 3S LiPo in hardcase with 7,4V or 11,1V. Looking for >5000mAh capacity and the suitable charger for it.

Here is the link to the car: Carson 500404032 - 1:10 CV10 Desert King BL Ready-to-Race, 2,4 GHz Fernsteuerung: Amazon.de: Spielzeug

This seem to be the one I´m looking for: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/...Flightmax_5000mAh_3S1P_20C_hardcase_pack.html and http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewitem.asp?idproduct=16390

FYI...
A 3S LiPo is 11.1 Volts (3 X 3.7V= 11.1V).
A 2S LiPo is 7.4 Volts (2 X 3.7= 7.4V) and so on.
I have an R/C plane that takes a 6S LiPo (6 X 3.7V = 22.2V)

@ T_J.... yeah I prefer the car in the 1st video as well...

Thanks Jerry :tinfoil:

Guess I have to go for a more stable/bigger car. Cancelled the order for this time and waiting for response of HobbyKing according shipping and lowering the product value.

That must be a killer.

This was also my first intention, but read that it is very fragile, also the 6S and the 100km/h seems to be a bit of an overkill for my first real RC car.

Guess gonna wait for this model getting back in stock, and in the meantime organizing good LiPos and the charger.

Thanks for your input!

You don't need to drive it at full throttle until you are
comfortable at higher speeds...

One the subject of charging, if your chosen charger doesn't charge through the balancer
connections, i would recommend a seperate balancer that can be used while charging.
Something like this:

TowerHobbies.com | 106 Astro Flight Blinky LiPo Battery Balancer

Now it doesn't have to be this particular one, but you'll definately want one like it. Multi-
cell lipo packs that become unbalanced provide poor power and are fire hazards.

Yes you do. :eg:

Here are a few cars/trucks I owned back in the day.

Monster Beetle

Lunch Box (this thing pulled wheelies)

Hornet

Toyota Tom’s 84C Group C (did ~60mph and was one of the fastest cars built at a time.)

And a few others I cant remember the names of. Most of the cars were made by Tamiya, so parts were interchangeable. Which made it more fun because you could run multiple combinations of power, suspension, and gear ratios.

Rc trucks are great fun. Here are my three trucks, the one in the middle has probably
been abused the most, it went headlong into a light pole after screaming down the
street in second gear :tinfoil: but thats not to say the other two havent bee abused, lol
