hello
im new in laser pointer world , i've just buy a cheap 200mW green laser pointer at dealextrem (this one : DealExtreme: $28.80 200mW 532nm Green Laser Pen (2*AAA) ) but i've some question about safety :
the first time i turn on the laser , i was really surprised about the brightness of the dot , it almsot hurt me !
(i only watch the dot , without any reflection , it was on a blank wall )
so i ask the question : do i need glasses to only look the dot , safety ?
thanks a lot

You need glasses for EVERYTHING under 50' except sky pointing if you are in a safe area to do that.

Dragon Lasers / O-Like / I would check the BST section here. Ebay has a few cheap pairs, but I would ask here on any you find on Ebay to see if anyone already has them to get a review.

You don't want to use "cheap" glasses for your laser. Cheap glasses (like these) will only block the green laser light and will not block the infrared laser light that your laser will be putting out.
I would get ones that will protect your eyes from the IR as well:
Like these or these <-- the ones I use for green+IR
