You can always try balancing it out with resistors.. I have used the same P/S thats
meant for a 5mW on tubes as low as .5mW.

I have never noticed any bad affect other than some extra heat, and if you dump some
power with resistors, there is less to worry about.

I dont think a 15mW P/S used on a 10mW tube will do anything to it. I have dumped a lot
more power into small tubes using PC monitor flybacks etc, and never lost a tube yet.
They are robust little buggers.

the tubes are like diodes in that they want a constant current. extra volts go as heat.

Update: I dropped it off with my BIL early this week and he got it wired up and working for me. I think he rather enjoyed working on it, although he asked me "What are you going to do with it?" :crackup:

Seems like that's a common question that we laser enthusiasts get asked a lot from others who don't share the passion, lol.
