Alright, so I need help. My brother has GTA 5 for xbox, but now it's so scratched it just freezes. He accidentally moved the xbox while the game was in the tray. I just took him to a placed that buffed the game (for free which was very nice), it looked like it turned out great. But when we got back home and tried, it still freezes to our dismay. This game cost $80 so obviously this is a pretty big loss since he only got to play it for a few weeks. Is there anything at all we can do? I was thinking if he could have one of his buddy's come over that has the game as well. We can download his copy to our xbox. Then we would just need our disk to get the game started. I still don't know if this is possible. Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks

Buy a new copy from a regular store, like Walmart. Then take the new game out of the package at the store and switch them. Claim the new one came scratched and you want your money back.

I've done this with Beats headphones when I found that one of the speakers blew. They have to take it back . Especially when you return it within minutes of buying it, because you had no chance to take it home to scratch it.

Most of the time it's a no questions asked return policy. But if they give you a problem, your now out another $80 but you'll at least have the game.

Not sure about game return policy though. Just a thought.

Might be something worth trying. Although I thought that they don't take games back no matter what? I remember years ago at "toys r us" they said they didn't take games back even if they were never opened. Maybe just that store policy though.

Thanks

Yeah I'm not sure about the games and their policies. But hey, if you ever have a defective electronic, that's a nice little trick to get a new one.

Does anywhere rent games??? Redbox???

Hmm, if redbox has GTA 5 then it should work great.

if u got a friend with the game, borrow theirs and install it to ur hdd. you will then be able to play the game no matter how scratched the disc is.
