Hi everyone. I wanted to reach out to the laser pro's on here and see if I could find a source for a specific laser. I looked around for a while but it seems hard to find trusted sources for powerful pens with a momentary button. To me, a laser is no fun without a momentary button. Years ago I became a fan of lasers and bought and built a few lasers with the little money I could spend. The best laser I had was a 100mw green pen from budgetgadgets.com back when they were around. It cost around $50, had the kaleidoscope tips which were beyond awesome, and it was powerful and seemed to be up to spec or overspec. It was great quality and a great buy. They had a 200mw option for $100 but I couldn't afford it at the time. Does anyone know a good source that sells this? A legitimate 200mw 532nm green laser pen in the +or- $100 range? It must be a pen. With or without kaleidoscope tips. I currently have a few mini 100mw green pens from lazerer.com which are good but they could be a little bit stronger and the worst part, the beam divergence is bad. The budget gadgets pen was perfect. Those pens must still be around somewhere.. Hopefully one of you can guide me to the right seller. I see some powerful green lasers at decent prices but they are a little too bulky and they have no button, only a switch on one end. I know the slim pen build isn't the best heat dissipation for a 200mw diode but with care I'm sure they work for a long time. Even a 100mw pen would be good to have if it has good beam divergence. Focused to infinity unlike lazerer pens. I look forward to hearing from everyone. SOMEONE HAS TO KNOW WHERE TO GET THIS. Thanks :yh:

Welcome to the forum....:)

where are you from?

- 532nm is DPSS not diodes.....
-520nm is diode.

- since this is 200mw+ of green we are talking about...so it's gonna be $150+

-there should be some builders here who's will be willing to take up your request...

- Myself and many others member can build you a laser of your choice.....send out a few PM...

You should PM Pman, he's the pen master. He could build you said laser. He has a lot of laser pens.

Thanks guys. I will PM Pman. The optotronics laser looks good, but it costs a little more than I was hoping for. At that price I will have to stick to 100 or 150mw. If someone wants to provide the laser I'm looking for let me know and we can work out a deal. I'm willing to take 150mw to keep the price a bit lower if that makes a difference. And the pen host with the tips would be great. But either way.

Check this thread out.
US based seller with a 150mw optotronics pen for around $150.

Give me a chance to look at my stuff and a few things. IT's just a hard range to work with.
The pen that Sytro is selling would be the one to buy in my opinion if you needed to move on it immediately but it is a bit wider than a normal skinny pen and doesn't have any star caps.. I've been having trouble getting hold of him lately. Hope everything is OK with him. I have a LOT of 532nm units over 100mW but that includes the IR and I would need to test first to see which are actually 100mW of 532nm after IR is subtracted. IF you can wait until tomorrow afternoon I can see what might fit the bill and if it comes from me it won't be anywhere near $100. Don't know if I have anything with the star caps though. Have to understand that I have a pretty vast selection of stuff so it takes more than a few seconds to look in all my cases and then test. Still want to see what I can find online though. Sellers like laserbtusedbtoell theirpens s with options as high as 150mW but they don't any longer.

It feels better to make your own.

You're taking away quality for price. I would rather purchase a high quality unit tham build my own lower quality unit.... Plus, I guarantee the laserlands module has a lot of IR leakage.

Thanks for posting. I'm willing to wait a while. But if it's going to cost way beyond $100 I won't be able to buy. Not sure if that's what you were saying. It's a little discouraging spending so much on 150-200mw. I know I'm mostly paying for the host.

Mine is only 135, not much over 100. A high quality green laser isnt cheap.

Yours is fine but I want to see if I can find at least 175mw. 200mw ideally. Come on guys, o-like has a 400mw 532nm WITH star tips for $150. If it were a pen I would buy a dozen.

5 in 1 sky star High power 400mW Green laser torch/focusable [OL-G400-S] - $145.00 : Zen Cart!, The Art of E-commerce

Not sure I would trust that, o like is good but that is weird. Also, its a generic chinese unit so I dont know how long it will last. Anyway, thats strange, I doubt its 350mW
