I don't think that will work, it looks like the positive pin, it will be more work than it is worth unless you make it case positive.

yes that is the positive pin how do i make it "case positive" and what is case positive thanks lol.

I've done this repair (Is it still working, Maxkillz?)  But it is difficult and you are left with a fragile connection.  Unless you are confident with your soldering ability and are willing to leave it alone and protected from now on, I would recommend you simply get a new diode.

Peace,
dave

thanks for your response so it is repairable, if the solder touches the pin and the top of the diode it will work or do you have to get the solder just on the pin thanks. carl.

If it is a 803T blu-ray you can repair it, if it is a red it is easier to get a new one, see my answers here./
[edit]Just re-read the title..... ::)[/edit]

Note that the 2 pins with the black around the base are the isolated + & - pins, if I read your picture correctly it is the + pin that is snapped right off, so for your repair you will be making the LD case positive, be aware of that if it is going into a flashlight host.
