Hey Andy,

You really do go above and beyond the call of duty here, mate! :) That guide for harvesting the diode is fantastic. Thanks for posting it and for your many other contributions to the DIY spirit of this place!

Cheers, CC

LOL

not a problem guys. like my site says "service in minutes, not days!" ;)

glad you all like it

this diode is metal, it burn so so well. it lite a match instanty, then i blew the match out. i put the burnt match head back in the laser and it seriously smokes!!

im well impressed.

You can cut a match in half with these...no problem.

i use proper matchs, wooden ones

not girly ones ;)

Whatever... ::) I use both and it takes a manly laser to light the white tipped paper matches. But the whole point of that picture was to point out the power of the open can.

im going to be dualing two of these diodes over the weekend for 600mw of red laser light :)

I am looking forward to how that turns out... :)

So now that you are running it with a TEC, what do you think of it using a TEC? You seemed to be a bit anti TEC, so I am curious if you notice anything different. For me the greatest advantage is the output stays stable.

i think im running somewhere in the region og 550-600ma

treat em mean keep em keen!
