[Pictures] The Infrared component of my Green DPSS laser.

Here's a Nightshot (nightvision) of it :)

The camera used for both shots is actually my old camcorder from sony.
Nothing fancy about it i guess, but it capture's the pink beam while my main camera ''also from sony'', doesn't.
The beam is still invisible in a smoke free room, even with the camcorder. but the dot ''more like line'' is visable like a >1mW pointer in distance.
You will need smoke (like in my first picture's to be able to capture it with the cam) ''Yes you will see a faint darkbrown red beam''

Believe me, i was also shocked when i tested this handheld on my LPM...
To be correct, it does 5100mW and is powered by 2× 18650.

I got it from Offroadfreak's Skylasers GB ''TY Offroad!''... with a ''requested'' custom made battery tube also made by them for me. (i found it silly to use 16340's in high powered handhelds to begin with)
*Mind you. these tubes will fit all PL host lasers, as i got one for my 520nm aswell *Sweet :) *

This laser took 2×16340 but the laser turned off by itself and the battery's were hot to the touch, so i asked for a extention tube making it a very nice 30cm long handheld not only looking good, but practical aswell.
Now it stay's on, and no hot battery's anymore. (kudos to Kevin from Laserbtb!) (i've seen lot's of 808nm YT handheld video's showing the same behavior a.k.a laser switching off for at first glance, no reason)
Overal it's a nice laser, just not a practical wavelenght...
But it sure makes for a nice IR illuminator when unfocused :) (yes it's focusable)

It's the one on the far right labled as 3000, but does 5100mW (mind you, it's not listed on lbtb's website)
I really wouldn't recommend this laser to anyone, couse it's dangerous like hell!
Once you switch from normal camera view to nightvision, you will crap your pants! and swiftly put it back on the shelf (with the safety pins pulled out and stored away of harm)
But as a collectors item, it sure is nice to have knowing what it can do and leave it at that.

Hope this answered some of your questions Elite6809 aldo it didn't really had anything to do with green lasers ^^
I enjoyed writing it....
But it will remind people of how dangerous unfiltered IR lasers or any handheld for that part can be.
For example a seems to be dead green laser can still be emitting IR light for those who don't understand how DPSS lasers work in the first place.
5mW or 5000mW it's very unsafe for those who don't know the harm of it ''sinds it's invisible''

Cheers, Sm..
