PHR803 at 150ma?

sureley if there is not too much difference between 150mA and 110mA it would be best to keep the current lower and enjoy relaxed duty cycles and longer lives(am i mistaken or can a blu ray at 100mA have almost no duty cycle?)

There is significant difference in them.  Burning ability, distance, amount of fluorescent reaction, etc. are all affected by this difference.  However, if you are just comparing what the beams look like "visually" the difference is not that pronounced.  Plus, you have to take into account the minimum level of "brightness" for the user to be able to perceive it.  If you've read the sticky in the blu-ray board, it will make more sense, but I cannot even see the beam until it is above 150mW.  Some people can see it at much lower power outputs.  I run my spirograph at 100mW, but I am not worried about seeing the beam.  The dot (and so the patterns) is clear to me.  I run my personal hand helds above 180mW so I can enjoy the beam.
