I'm interested in the GBW-H10N sled but I wanna know are they really that much more powerful?  :-?

I already have a PHR-803T diode pushing 140mA and it's doing fine; for months now with casual use. ;)
The the blu LD in the GBW-H10N has not yet been fully tested (I don't think), but the general consensus seems to be that it is worth its price - much less likely to die unexpectedly, and higher in power.  Mine has been running well with current = 170mA, putting out 140mW.  Others have pushed the output up to 200mW, but some have died as a result; their families will auction off all of their laser equipment to help pay for the kids' college, and for the widows' grief counseling.

EDIT - almost forgot: that sled also includes a very nice red LD... mine is set to 260mW @450mA

Group Buy blurbs are not intended to be explicable.  Sometime in September, after much deliberation, we came to a consensus decision to make all GB-related things completely random. So, what you ask for is actually not quantumfiable.

  :-?

OMG Dan.. You crack me up... ;D

Kage, yes i will do that. Thanks for that. I'll give you a PHR Sled for the GBW your having sent to Igort ;)
Sweeeeet?

Tommy

Sweeeet! :)

Also, please explain this blurb:
ORDER LIST FOR PHR-803T BR
NOT STARTING UNTIL THE REST ARE SOLD FROM GB#1

Where's the GB1 list?

If you are trying to confuse the newbies, good job!  :-X

Its in the GB section, look for another GB page run by me. thats the old one. But all you need to know is that i have the phr sled/diodes so if you need any just tell me how many you want.

The Payment adress is for Paypal and its on the Payment area on the 1st post.

DanQ dont confuse him anymore lol. even i dont understand what you just said.

You mean the "BR PHR-803T Sleds or DIODE $13.50 FINISHED. DONE" thingy?????

To recap, I'm wanting 2 PHR-803T diodes harvested & mounted in AixiZ's.

I am quite new... so I hope I am following correct protocol.

I would like to purchase two PHR-803T sleds and two Aixiz housings. If I can count that would be a total of $34.40. You will pm me payment details?

I'm wondering the same thing. Apparently, we make a payment thru PayPal as suggested in this blurb:

"Payment are only available by PayPal, and you MUST leave your forum name and the item your buying in the "Note To Seller" Its very hard to track down who paid without a name to put the item too. The address to be paid to is TommyBluRay@hotmail.com Make sure you add up the payments correctly before paying. "

But, what do I know?

Sorry I missed that part. Thanks for pointing it out.

My intention also was to be sure that everything is all right before I sent payment. Ideally a message like "Oh yea, you can get those parts. Just send the payment to me and I will send them when I get everything in".

yeah, it wasn't exactly clear to me that I had ordered at the right time to get anything... but he responds to PMs pretty well.

I ended up just paying (as you outlined above) then PMing for confirmation - which came within hours.

I was out of PHR sleds, but someone just cancel their order so i have 5 for sale still. So if anyone wants PHR, just PM me, BUT HOLD OFF YOUR PAYMENT UNTIL i send you an invoice. PAYPAL is giving me issues again. They are holding all the funds that eeveryone has paid to me for the GBW and afew phr sleds.

So again i will invoice you and then you can pay, just pm me your Paypal address and i'll send you an invoice. but i'll add you to the list in the meantime. thanks

Dataplumber sled diode, which ever you want is fine the 2phr harvested and in aixiz module, You have to give me your paypal email, and i will send you an invoice for them.

Videos? Search for "Long Die Open Can", or just "long open can" or "open can" or "LDOC"...

I'm sure people made videos of open cans burning...

I used to be afraid of open cans, since they seem so exposed and fragile. But the more i use them, the more i like them...
They seem to be very tough diodes...

im not really finding anything. obviously open can means the silver colored shielding is missing from the diode, but what does the long die part mean??

The laser die is longer, the thing on the pedestal, that emits light.. And it has no can, yes.. It only has an enlarged pedestal, that is partially wrapped around the die, to protect it a bit.

There is another, short die open can, but it would seem it is not as powerful. It's as if the longer die can handle more power.

It's the toughest red diode there is.. With an AR coated glass lens (single element) you can get 300-310mW out of it easily... With an AR coated acrylic 280-290mW... Regular acrylic 255-265mW - all these powers are at the same current of 420-430mA for example. The difference is just from the lenses.

Where does one find these AR coated acrylics?

Hmm, i found them at some Chinese company, that sells on ebay.

Basically it's the same lens as in Dilda.. It's a very good lens for a plastic lens! The coating reduces reflective losses, increasing the output power and reducing the strain on the diode.

I'll try to find the link tomorrow.

For AR coated glass, look at the "custom lens GB Feeler"...
