Phelps Medal Conspiracy?

i read that and i still think that Phelps won fair and square, i saw a underwater picture on tv that clearly shows Phelps's finger touching the wall when his competitors was not, it may have been close and i see why people don't believe it but the electronic sensor doesn't lie, Phelps won!

p.s. how much do you want to bet by the 2012 summer Olympics they will have sensors that go to the thousandths!

EDIT: look here!

omg omg no way! an olympic mishap?

thats impossible its the olympics no one lies or cheats

:o ::)

still better than any of us! lol

its funny how most people think that the people who get last suck, but when you think about it they are probably 10 times better than us here at home

so i suppose then dara torres getting 2nd by 1 one hundredth of a second is a complete scam then too? The touchpad never lies. I am a swimmer and we compete with touchpads. Also, isnt it nearly impossible to see 1/100th of a second? theres like no physical difference. Cavic could have touched the pad first, but because phelps was going at a faster pace (having taken the extra stroke instead of gliding in), phelps compressed the sensor underneath the touchpad before cavic. but theres no real difference on the video cameras because that is such a close race. It seems most stupid because the entire olympic swimming and the entire world of swimming relies on the touchpad, and a touchpad is one of the most simple yet effective electronics ever. it works. phelps touched first.

A teammate of mine won by 1/100th of a second in some meet that doesnt matter, and dara torres and phelps both had a difference of 1/100th in the same olympics. its not that rare. exact ties arent that rare either, at least ive seen one. Not for first though, it was ilke an exact tie for 4th or something.

These guys just want to make it seem like a big deal so that more people go to their website so that their ads make more money.

like i said before they sould make them go to 1/1000 of a second so there isn't anymore ties!

i always think about the exact same thing, i'm with you, dude.

also
in this country
if a team wins, then everybody wins,
but if it loses then THEY have lost.

I think Omega mentioned (during the Olympics) that their time-keeping is accurate to something like 1/10,000th of a second, but the the records only go to the 1/100th of a second. So, their times are much more accurate than the recorded times, which means Phelps may have actually won by less than 1/100th of second, but since that is the smallest unit, they just called it 0.01s rather than rounding to the same exact time, which would mean a tie.

And the article mentions that he didn't win the semi-final, but what does that matter? He just has to try hard enough to qualify for the final... no need to kill yourself on a qualifying match, unless you have a huge ego (which Phelps doesn't seem to have, unlike the French swimmers ::))

This picture came to mind. ;D
I agree that Phelps won, but perhaps I'm a bit biased, as I live in the US. ::)
