PC problem

hi guys,
i have problem with my camera when trying to import videos/pictures on the computer.the problem is,t doesn't open the software to import them and i can't see the device in ''my computer''.i have windows xp professional service pack 3.it is working just fine on my laptop.(windows 7)

Is the camera driver installed??

Most cameras (except maybe newer ones) auto install under windows XP.

Kodak cameras prefer the easy share software, but me personally, I prefer a card reader.

There are many inexpensive USB card readers available all over the place that simply plug and play.

With one of those, it will not matter what camera you have.

yes it is installed.my camera is canon.i have another one canon and it's working so i guess it can work on service pack 3.

im using the usb cable but my dad will buy me a card reader today.
