Sorry about that. Yes, we are an electronic recycler in Seattle. We acquired these parts from a local display arts company as surplus after their item got discontinued. We sell all sorts of surplus IT equipment. Let me know if you have any interest in the Corning G1000 as well
There's no collimator on these modules, that's why the divergence is so high. It's the output straight from the cavity. Given how good the beam quality is on those PL 530s you could get some really good divergence out of them.
Hey, you are my neighbor. I live in Tacoma. I don't need these in any large quantities, but I would like to get one to see what I can do with it. Do these have basically the same coherence length as the Osram 530nm lasers? I am not familiar with this module, so I would also need the pinout diagram and the Vf, current, etc.
Thanks, Robert. I guess I should have looked to see that there was a thread on these from 2012. I would also not try to push one of these too hard. The OP pushed his to >400 mA, but that would likely end in a short life.
It appears they use a heater as well so another current regulated driver would be needed in addition to the pump diode driver, that and they need to be mounted to a heat sink and a lens arrangement built.
