Hi LPF,

I'm considering buying a 100mW 532nm module from Lazerer, does anyone know their operating voltage? My messages won't go through to them, also, do you guys think it will be on spec? I've read good things about Lazerer, just not sure about it being on spec. :thanks: in advance!

they take 3-3.7V. i'm surprised it wasn't mentioned in the ad. it will be right close to spec

There is a big difference between 3V and 3.7V. If the module is rated for 3V and you put a freshly charged li-ion battery with 4.2V to it you can fry the module.

Usually the smaller module for penlasers are for 3V ie two AAA cells and the bigger ones for 3.7V 18650.

:thanks: guys! Can someone maybe try and ask the question on my behalf on Lazerer? It won't take the verification code I give to it, can someone else try? Maybe the problem is just on my side. I don't want to end up frying it :o
:thanks: in advance!

One could put a 1N400X diode in series with the module to drop .7V and run off of 1 lithium cell....

Just a thought
