How the He!! did you get UN -BANNED for the third (3rd) time...
I thought it was 3 strikes and you are out...

Oh dear.

Well... while you're here though, how's the project look to you? :)

@Trevor - Congrats on completing first release:beer:

Pretty sure Dave posted at one point that people get about five-six shots before permaban, unless they break some very specific rules. (Duplicate account, scamming, spamming and threatening.)

Since so far only the more basic rules have been broken (lying, scheming, fighting, trolling)... here we go again. Only a matter of time:shrug:

Nope, three times to date, at least since I've been on the forum.

By the looks of the board, the LPM looks to be programmically calibrated. That I would say is con for the project. That will cause the user to test, reupload, then retest every time To get a stable reading. Then if the batteries die you will need to start again. I think there would be room on the board for a nice 10 or 25 turn pot for calibration.

Other than that I can't wait to see the code. I have my nano here waiting to be used!

rhd's board uses the Ophir heads - so the amp and calibration are already in the head. :)

Oh of course!

I am patiently waiting for this to come into fruitation!

You've got it!

One version takes three 9V batteries.
One version takes a single 12V supply.

It's the second version that is untested. Otherwise I'd release the PCB now. If it works, obviously the second version is preferable.

If it works and you end up with any extra boards, I'd be interested in one. The 12V is perferred, but either would work.

I'd actually buy the nano to be able to "plug and play" rather then trying to build the something to fit my teensy. (although the teensy is cheaper. :) )

Which is the sensor head that works best with these? I see several models listed on E-Bay.

Anything that responds the spectrum you need, and has a measurable voltage to use on the output. You can build a pre amp for any head if its not configured to 1mV/1mW already, or you can have the software compensate for you, once you figure the output scale of your sensor.

In other words, just get "something" to work with. The idea here is that any sensor can be figured to work with the software.

Has anyone made it yet ? what are the outcomes, in sense of accuracy and reliability.. what would be a total/rough cost of this putting togather from start to end.. i want to make one but i will be only doing if im sure i can afford to buy stuff right now, as i already have ordered aixiz, 18650's , soldering equipmnt, hacksaw, n whatever i found necessary XD sorry for braggin about it.. but i really need lpm too.. and my wallet is dead..

Did these boards ever turn up?
Looking forward to seeing this project progress :)

I'll shoot this out here - I've got a few models of this guy out for fabrication, and they should be here in a week or so.

Very interested in this. First I need to get an ophir head. I'll pick one up shortly after I pay off my argon and grab some IR goggles from Bluefan.

I could probably incorporate code to run a 16x2 backlit LCD.

Can I recalibrate it by adding the nessecary button into the sketch and using a known stable laser (e.g. a 5 mw helium neon, or 40mw argon)?
