well i will use the micro driver which can fit in the aixiz and it will give out 400ma. also where can i get a 5 volt flashlight for the driver
 
That I have no idea, you need a flashlight where you can store batteries that give you a total of 6v or more since you need a minimum of 5.25v to drive a red diode with rkcstr's driver, you could get a flashlight that uses 2 CR123 batteries, or two AA batteries, you could buy two 14500 lithium 3.6v rechargeable batteries that you could put in the AA flashlight to give you a total of 7.2v. It's your choice, what kind of batteries are you planning on using?
 
i was going to use cr123a or a 14500 lithium but wouldn't 7.2 volts make the driver over heat
 
Nope, you need at least 7.25v to power a bluray diode so I don't think two fully charged lithium batteries will damage it. (but you should ask rkcstr though, just in case)
 
with no heat sinking how many ma should i drive it wit to have 5 hours of use.
 
Oh, ok. The sweet spot for these diodes is 420mA, but you definitely need heatsinking for this, if you're not going to use a heatsink then you have to turn the current down so that the aixiz module doesn't get hot according to the duty cycle you're going to use.
But I'd say you need to lower the current a lot for this to be possible which will significantly lower its output and defeats the purpose for buying the long open can diode since the point for getting one is to be able to make a powerful laser. Why would you want to have a 150mW laser which is capable of outputting an extra 100mW with an acrylic lens and double the 150mW with a meredith glass lens? Short answer, get a heatsink. :P
 
Sure!!! Whatever works. ;D You can get a chunk of aluminum and drill a hole through it and either glue the aixiz module with thermal epoxy or make the hole to a size so that the module will fit in it tightly.
Or you can do the washer thing. Get a whole bunch of washers, drill a hole through them so they have a nice fit on the aixiz module (if the hole isn't big enough) and glue them all together with thermal epoxy.
