Hi ,

This 44 diode build was intended a XM 900 host with Jordan's 35mm heat sink. After seeing on the PSU how under efficient this one was i decided to build it in a smaller host and not waste the 35mm sink on this lower power diode. Testing the output peaked at 5800mW at 4.5A's then rolled back fast .so i set the Driver to 4A. and it stabilized at this number..Well enough talk here are some pics of a C11 praise fire side clicky. Hope you all enjoy .... Rich:)
In it is::

1- NUMB44 diode
2- SXD adjustable set to 4A's
3- G2 lens
4- two AW 18350 cells

Sweet build Rich,
I'm waiting to see what the duty cycles like with a nubm44 in a 35mm cu module. Got to be a good pairing

Hi VV,
With a sink like the 35mm /9mm pressed the duty cycle should be really good with a 44 diode. i didi;t want to waste the sink on this one so the sink in the C11 would do fine at this reading.. Rich:)

You know Rich, i was thinking theres a good bit of space under the 35mm cu module when used in the mx900. Space that could be used for one of the drivers with an adjustable pot, maybe even a small digital volt/amp display modules. That would be sweet paired with a lpm.

Hi,
Oh yea i know and thats all i use is the SXD adjustable drivers, it sits in the pill nice and low even with heat sinking the IC on the driver. And you don't have to trim the 35mm with those 1-3/4 copper washers i get . there 1/6th thick and are perfect. i have mine all set up just going to see with the other 44 i have how it reads on the PSU. I used a new contact board in the bottom of the pill and took the original spring and used that so not to change the distance in the battery tube and the driver will sit on top of the pill .Check it out

Above I meant external adjustable pot, (not on pcb)

Hi i was referring to a SXD adjustable i just showed the pic of the driver that fits the pill. There's plenty of room there i had a few preset drivers for a quick build i bought some time back. I have an order coming with 24 of Lazeerers drivers all are adjustable external pot.

Hi Red,
i get all kinds of CU from work so this came in a small sheet and i cut a strip and then polish it. That's why you can se all the fissures in the CU on a Macro shot.. Very shiny and reflective a nice clean app.. Thanks Pal always glad to hear from ya ..
