Just got a 50mW greenie from O-like. At first it didnt start at all but now hen I smashed it into the table a couple of times it starts at 2mW or 1, but then it fades away in a matter of seconds to nothing.

Its a newwish pens.. What is the cause?

I have contaced them but they wont answer (however, it has just been 3 hours).i really dont wanna send it back for 30-40 usd, the laser itself was 25..

Thanks.

You need to be patient with the Chinese vendors. 3 hours is nothing. Wait a couple days for the answer. Laser are optical devices, don't smash them on table.

I would say the cause is obvious....but now hen I smashed it into
the table a couple of times....

There seems to be some holiday over there... besides... you
smashed the Laser into a table a couple of times....... I would
say that YOU damaged it and should be stuck with it...
That is not O-Like's problem... unless you are trying to rip them
off...:tsk:

Well. It didnt work at all in the beginning and I remembered how I had destroyed an old laser of mine by dropping it accidentally but then acidentally dropping it again and then it worked so I tried the same thing but lighter, the word smashing is maybe not the right word, all I did was hitting the table loosely, which could be compared to the effects of dropping it 2-3 centimeters or one inch over the table.

Thanks.

Lasers rarely get fixed by using force on them, usually they get damaged more. If it really did arrive DOA then just wait for O-likes reply.

Now start saving up for your next laser, and learn from this experience.

Have you used a volt meter to check your batteries? I recently had some bad solders inside an o'like charger and laser. Check the batteries for sure with the meter first. And I understand te need to hit electronics when they don't work but I've also found out that jarring stuff around might eventually leave you with more problems then when you started
