What does "VCC" mean? And why is there a VCC+Power, and a VCC+? What's the difference?

the VCC + power is where you solder the case pin. This driver is designed to be used in a case positive build. I belive the "VCC +" in the second picture is only used if your battery is isolated from the host, in which case you'd have to connect the positive side of your battery to that terminal.

They should be the same. If you look at the pictures, you'll see that there is, almost certainly, a PCB track between them.
