While browsing around I came across a page full of old popular science magazines from way back in time,

Popular Science ? All Issues | Modern Mechanix

the covers are so interesting! a few clicks later I found myself staring at this CO2 lasercutter and all the ancient mounting techniques..
I noticed in the smaller picture inserted that the beam seems to be off center from its optic..
from 1963 ( Can anyone else find an error? :) ):

uhhhh is there a microscope to STARE at the laser as it fires? Very cool,
America: efficiency in blinding technologies since 1963!

I wonder if his seeing glasses are rated for the
Laser he is using...

He's got the face of a teen, and the body of a 50-year-old man :tinfoil:

I love seeing old things about lasers, it is a good reminder of just how far we have come since them.

Thanks for the feedback!
what do you suppose that tapped coil? behind him is or for... a tesla primary?
