Yeah... I have a generic site that sk8 linked there, and I have thought of getting more serious.

But pretty much all of my builds, are designed for a DIY project, as well as offering complete builds. You know how it gets with this hobby, once you get started with building them... your hooked! :D

The hobby has definitely brought my mini-lathe back to life. I have seen pictures of your mini-lathe, it looks awesome because it is such old school :) Your work shop looks like mine, of course my wife hates it because I'm always in it ;D

Wow... that seems really cheap for all of the capabilities that machine has!

If my mini lathe ever quits on me, I'll probably give that one a try, because parts for my Atlas 6" are very scarce...

Once you have the build, it's really easy to swap out the module in case you want to put a more powerful one in there! 8-) (as long as the modules are the same size)

You will want to first make sure of the shank size for the tool holder that your lathe takes, but I found that these cheap bits work good:

P.S. It's hard to tell just how small that machine is from the pictures. It says only 7" distance between the centers... I've got drill bits longer than that! And a chuck will take up room too. Hmmm...

Here's one 12" between centers:

Not sure if there are milling attachments or not. But I have a milling attachment for my lathe that I have never even used yet!

It doesn't look like it has power feed, but I have power feed on my lathe and never have used it!

You might as well just send me the threaded piece and pay me only $44. Then I don't use up my stock, and you save! Otherwise, it would be the same price as the 50mW version, less $30 dollars. I have one of her 50mW modules that is running at 65mW's (using a 3.6 volt battery)

Would you like the build with this module for $145? Then you can just swap modules if you want. (Also, the modules I have are .469in. X 2.479in., or 11.9mm X 62.7mm) The length measurements are from the spring to the front of the brass module.

Gary, I got your 100mW green build ready to ship out on Monday!

Nice module! 8-) It peaked at over 120mW's with-in the first 30 seconds. After it warmed up (45seconds), it settled at right around 100mW's. Fluctuating between 96mW's and 102mW's. This kind of fluctuation is normal with green modules.

Anyway, I marked it at it's 'settled', average output - 100mWs'

One other thing.... It has a very tight, thin beam. On my 3' match light test, it lit the match instantly! :) (black tipped)

Let me know when you get it!
