PRETTY NEAT! so you shined at the clouds and it didnt? :/ what if you focus it better to make a spot and not a line?

i have shined it at clouds before and i didnt get any noticeable reflections, wasnt looking for reflections tho.

I cant its a multimode emitter and thats as focused as it gets without beam correction prisms.

i can test it with 200mW and 800mW / 830nM

awesome! do it when you have time

alright, that's cool too, i was actually thinking of broadening the beam, so what you have might actually work even better, if and when you would have time could you test it with clouds, and look if you see any illumination on the ground? if you cant see illumination go back and forth on the cloud to see ANY changes on the ground..

this is so awesome you guys can test my theory before I go out and spend money, you are awesome!

Seems like common sense to me that there isn't a chance this could work, but atm I'll take about any excuse to play with my NV. I made a quick video holding the NV in one hand and an 808nm in the other so it's a little shakey, it wasn't very easy to point the NV and the laser on the same spot when I couldn't see the laser spot, but it should give you some sense of how visibly the 808nm diffuses.

I used a 808nm 9mm diode laser pushing 1.25A, the same NV Fiddy has. Slightly cloudy, urban lighting, snowy ground and roofs, and the house at the end of the vid was approx 75yds away.

Sorry Krane, no clouds. The only small cloud i have seen had no effect when was hit by the laser.
I have seen recently a photo with 1.5KW beam power (>75.000lumens) pointed at a low altitude cloud and the cloud was illuminated just slightly around the hit point. The device was huge, carried by a truck. I think you are not going to have much luck...

LOL duke I tried

qavro thanks for the info, really nice NVD, whats your tube?

Im still waiting for my l3 filmless

are you the guy with pvs 14 and dog pictures on ar15 forum?

I am the guy who got banned, one who asked about changing PVS14 LED and asked you to take pictures, you took best pics, I dont know how retarded some people are not being able to take a proper pic lol

ps they started hating on my advice, i started hating on their asskissing of the sponsors, i couldnt care less and just trolled them in the end, wish i could catch last messages before they got deleted by mods lol.. some guy asked how to connect pvs to dslr or something, and I known for my simplistic designs told him to just use a duct tape lololol, too bad the responses were deleted :(
