New Panasonic 18650 High Discharge Cell

Hi!

I`m looking for 18650`s and was told the Panasonic will be the best choice!

I found two different Panasonics in a shop nearby and would like to ask the pros` which one I should rather take!

The NCR18650PD from this post or the NCR18650B?

Two of them should be used for a 445 9mm diode with 2.1A x-Drive from TDR!

Thankis for your help!

PS: I got me a pair of protected NCR18650B!!!

yep, ncr18650b would give you the most runtime. The PD would be overkill, as you wouldn't be needing a cell capable of that power output. To put it in even terms, the NCR18650PD is theoretically capable of almost 40W electrical power output, while the NCR18650B is only capable of around 25W when discharging at 6.8A. (Note, I say "only" in jest, 25W is very respectable for a single cell, and don't forget that it has a huge capacity @ 3400mAh!)

Hi!

I was already told to go rahter with the B`s than the PD`s, but your explanation makes it perfectly understandable for me!

Thanks for your answer!
