new module, dont understand how to bypass switch

following this Green 200 mw bruning laser diy
no idea what he has soldered the wires to or what he has done to bypass switch. if anyone can decipher what i need to do please tell me
also help with the ground wire, what has he soldered it to? thanks

Ahh damn! I run on Mac OSX. Knew siding with mr. I-have-turtle-necks would bite me in the butt later on. grr
