Hello everyone, I just joined and wanted to introduce myself. I joined LaserPointerForums because I believe I want to get into lasers or even just try it out. I look forward to talking with many of you!

Welcome. We are here to help. What do you think your firstlaser is going to be? Build kit or pre assembled?
Hi

Thank you! I think I want my first laser to be a pre-built. To start off anyway haha. I visited a few different companie's sites. Laserglow, Wicked Lasers (I read on here that they're questionable), DragonLasers (I read a lot are overspec), and a few more.
Shipping will be an issue for some of the ones you listed.
Sanwu.org is an excellent option. Very high quality. Size and power output choices too. They have a presence on the forum as well.
If cheapies are what your after then your really just gambling. It may work for a long time or a few hours. I suggest a $50 cap on gambling with cheapies.
Welcome to lpf
Welcome and enjoy.
I see you're from Louisiana, are you anywhere near Canal Street or that Harrah's casino there? If you are I'm sure you know to stay away LOL
It's been a while since I have been to Mardi Gras but I always enjoyed it, I used to combine Bourbon street with my Biloxi trips, it's just another 80 miles or so and my wife loved it there.
I still look at the web cam sometimes just to remember, but you may not live near there and if you do it's no probably no big deal to you I bet. I was there after Katrina, wow that was something, like Armageddon with all those dark houses and cars pushed up underneath the overhead roadways.
